Year 3 have had a very busy week!
They have followed instructions and learnt how to make some delicious mince pies and on Thursday they had a Medieval Feast to complete our topic. The class drew out their part in the feast - some were Lords and Ladies, some were pages and entertainers and some worked in the kitchen. They ate their food from trenchers (slabs of bread) and enjoyed fish, cheese jams and honeys and drank wine (blackcurrant juice). The pages served the food and drink to very demanding guests and we let them join in the feast later.
