Thank you to everyone who has supported our last fundraiser for the year. So far we have raised £918.50.
On Wednesday afternoon we are having our official opening of our Friends Footpath. Parents are welcome after school that day to take the path down to our school field with their children to look at our outdoor learning area.
We would like to thank Mrs Bruce for her years of service at Ballaquayle School as one of our dinner teachers, as she completes her contract at the end of this term. She has been very supportive to our children at lunchtimes.
The cost of a hot dinner is £1.85 per day (£9.25 weekly). The amount due on 6th September for the first half term (up to 21st October) will be £62.90 for Years 1 and 2 and £46.25 for any new Reception children starting school dinners. Cheques should be made payable to IOM Government.
Juice/Snack money is generally payable half-termly on the first day of each new term. You may, if preferred, pay for the whole term or the whole year in advance. Cash or cheques payable to Ballaquayle School should be enclosed in an envelope with your child’s name. Juice is 20p per day and snack is 20p per day (40p for both).A table of amounts payable is shown below.
Items in the lost property box will be set out in the hall before and after school on Friday. Items not claimed will be delivered to a local charity shop.
Thank you to all the parents who have taken the time to complete our questionnaire. These will be analysed over the next few weeks and we will report back the findings and inform you of any changes we intend to bring about as a result of your comments.

We would like to wish all our Year 2 children every success as they move to their new school. We have tried to make this transition a very positive experience for the children and hopefully have addressed any worries or concerns they may have had about the move. Could I say a special thank you to the Year 2 parents who have supported the school in so many ways in the last three years. Your help is much appreciated by all the staff.
Finally on behalf of all the staff could I wish you all a good Summer. School reopens for pupils on Tuesday 6th September.
