Sulby were given Trinidad and Tobago as the country to research for The Commonwealth Youth Games. Each year group took one of the seven sporting events at The Commonwealth Youth Games and constructed an MDF figure to represent it. On one side of the figure the children painted the athlete in the Manx Kit and on the reverse, The Trinidad and Tobago Kit. The athletes are suspended from the ceiling so that we can alternate which kit is on display. Every child in the school then drew their portrait to create the spectators of the Games. These are displayed all the way around it and look great. Year 6 then used their feet to paint the Trinidad and Tobago flag and Reception painted the Manx flag. We used both of these as our back drop. Year 4 then created information flags comparing the Isle of Man to Trinidad and Tobago. Each of our athletes is holding one.
We are very pleased with our finished display. Well done everybody!
