    Wildlife Park Children's Blog

Reception and Year One classes who have visited our Rainforest Magic activity day this term have had to put up with a rather badly behaved parrot in the classroom.

Orinoco ("Orry" for short) usually lives with his friends, the blue and yellow macaws, in the big aviary outside the cafe.

But many years ago he visited his wild cousins in the Amazon Rainforest, so he is allowed to help out in the classroom on Rainforest Magic days.

I have to say that he is more trouble than help, and I'm sorry if he stole your hat or pecked you when you came. He is having a bit more training to improve his behaviour!

I promised him that I would put his picture on the blog so here it is.

Exciting New Playground at the Wildlife Park

We've got the builders in at the moment. They are making a fantastic new outdoor adventure playground just opposite the meerkats (near the playbarn). Hopefully it will be open for the Easter Holidays. Follow the blog for more news, I will post a photo as soon as it starts to take shape!

    Best wishes
