    Windy Start to Spring!

The weather this week wasn't quite as bad as the weather forecast said it was going to be (to the relief of visiting schools) but towards the end of the week it got more and more windy!

On Thursday a family of 11 ducklings hatched out and by Friday their mum was teaching them how to swim in extremely rough water! I watched as they were tossed up and down by the waves on the lake but they kept close to mum and eventually waddled onto dry land to shelter under a bush.

    A rough ride!
    Safe on dry land again

New Playground due in time for Easter

The builders are very busy working on the new adventure playground opposite the play barn. Children who have been on a visit with school this week have had a sneak preview, but it will be a little while yet before anyone gets to try it out ( I'm planning to be the first!!) Next week's blog will have a photo, so check it out.

    Thank you!

I've had fantastic letters and pictures sent to me lately from many of you who have been to visit. I absolutely love reading them and I keep them for ever!! It always makes my day when they arrive through the post, so do keep sending them.

    Best wishes
